OMG! I have been waiting for this Dior show for so long. It was GREAT to meet so many fashionable people from all around the world. Christian Dior kept the itinerary super secret and just sent me the venue and other show details two days before the event. They picked us up from Manhattan and transported us to the Brooklyn Navy Yard by ferry. I predict that since Alexander Wang chose Brooklyn for his show last season, tons of designers will follow his lead. The Brooklyn Navy Yard was fabulous, and Brooklyn is such a fun and trendy place. I can’t wait to see which designer is next to cross the bridge.
The Dior-themed ferry that took us across the water was absolutely adorable.
There were tons of celeb sightings last night. Marion Cotillard looked stunning in a sparkly, pastel number.
Loving Margot Robbie’s necklace and metallic skirt.
Understated elegance always works.
Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller looked totally tailored. I love her fun clutch. It adds a little something to her look. Also sited at the show were Rihanna, Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Leelee Sobieski.
I loved Raf Simon’s use of abstract and floral prints this season. The mix of colors made each look really pop on the runway. Simon’s combined details that worked surprisingly well together, like floral prints, stripes and beaded detail. If anyone can make a combo like that work, it’s definitely Raf. I took a few snaps during the show to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. Enjoy!
